Demonstrating a Model Healthcare Community
The User First Design Group developed a Model Healthcare Community for the National E-Health Transition Authority (NEHTA). The walkthrough display allowed NEHTA to simulate and demonstrate aspects of the Commonwealth Government’s e-health initiatives.
What we did
Our breakthrough was working with NEHTA to clarify the real purpose and identify the real users of the walkthrough.
With this understanding and within a tight timeframe, we designed the user experience and content of the display. We managed production, installation and conducted rehearsals and training with NEHTA and Medicare Australia personnel.
Results
The walkthrough provides a platform for communication and development of NEHTA’s work on the Healthcare Identifier Service initiative.
The Commonwealth Minister for Health visited the display to see first hand how the secure e-health system currently being developed will work for patients and health care professionals.
